Each year, Browns Heating Air & Plumbing proudly hosts a community-centered event designed to give back to those in need: the Browns Giveaway. Now entering its fifth year, this initiative helps provide local families with a brand-new HVAC system—free of charge. If you know someone in our service area who could benefit from improved comfort and air quality, here’s how you can nominate them.
What Is the Browns HVAC Giveaway?
The Browns Giveaway is an annual event that provides one deserving household with a complete HVAC system at no cost. This initiative is our way of giving back to the community that continues to support us. We believe everyone deserves comfort in their home, especially when extreme weather hits.
Whether it’s a family facing financial hardship, a senior citizen on a fixed income, or a neighbor who always puts others first, this giveaway is about recognizing and helping those who truly need it most.
Who Can Be Nominated?
We encourage nominations for individuals or families in Central Virginia who:
Are experiencing financial hardship
Are living without a functioning heating or cooling system
Own their home and are unable to afford necessary HVAC repairs or replacement
Make a difference in the community and deserve recognition and comfort
Each nomination helps us better understand their story and why they need support.
How to Submit a Nomination
Nominations open on August 1st and can be submitted online through our official giveaway page:
Here’s what to include in your nomination:
The nominee’s full name and contact information
A detailed explanation of their situation
Why you believe they are deserving of a new HVAC system
Your own contact information as the nominator
The more information you provide, the better we can understand their needs.
What Happens After You Nominate?
Once the nomination window closes, our team carefully reviews each submission. We consider factors such as need, community impact, and current living conditions. After narrowing down the finalists, the winner is chosen by community vote and announced at the giveaway event. Our team then works quickly to install a brand-new, energy-efficient HVAC system that brings immediate comfort and long-term savings to the winning household.
