Meet the Johnsons, a father and son who have endured more than their share of challenges
yet continue to face life with strength and perseverance.
Dwayne Johnson spent more than 30 years working faithfully for the same company before
it closed its doors. He quickly found new employment and continued to provide for his
family with loyalty and dedication. But years of being an undiagnosed diabetic led to
devastating health complications. After multiple hospitalizations and surgeries, Dwayne
ultimately lost his leg and two toes on his other foot. These health struggles forced him
onto Social Security disability, which provides only a small fraction of the income he once
earned.
Dwayne lives with and cares for his adult son, who has Asperger syndrome and is unable to
work. Together, they manage on limited income, but the financial strain is overwhelming.
Medical bills, depleted retirement savings, and daily expenses leave little room for
unexpected costs.
Adding to these struggles, their heat pump is the same one installed when the home was
built in 1993. It is failing after more than 30 years of use, barely keeping up with the
demands of the home. Dwayne often has to adjust and tinker with it just to keep it running,
but with his mobility challenges, even this task is becoming harder. The system is
unreliable, outdated, and no longer provides the comfort they desperately need.
For Dwayne, who struggles to get around due to his health, and for his son who depends on
him, a new heat pump would mean so much more than comfort. It would bring peace of
mind, stability, and relief after years of hardship.
The Johnson family’s story is one of resilience and quiet strength in the face of
overwhelming challenges. Please consider casting your vote for them. Your support could
bring lasting comfort to a father and son who truly need it.
